Starbucks Youth EmpowerME Program

Alshaya Group in partnership with The Starbucks Foundation are proud to announce the launch of the ‘EmpowerME’ program, a transformative three-year partnership to uplift youth across the Middle East and North Africa. 
 
The USD$4.2 million will be granted to local nonprofit organizations, with initial grants directed to JA Worldwide and Habitat Association to support mentorship programs, skills development and career readiness with a goal of engaging and uplifting over 120,000 youth in these communities. 
 
Building on a two-year an existing partnership in the  MENA region, the grant to JA Worldwide, will enhance workforce- readiness training and financial literacy for youth, with special consideration for young women and refugees across Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, and Lebanon initially, followed by Bahrain, Morocco and Qatar.  
 
In Jordan, Habitat Association, in partnership with a local partner – Isnad will enhance digital literacy and communication skills by supporting entrepreneurship programs and offering in-person training and workshops on career development, as well as social and emotional well-being.
